I'm working on a prototype for a game called Marathon inspired by Knizia's Decathlon. I'll be featuring it as part of an event at a con in mid March and was hoping to have an official score track for it rather than just pen-and-paper. Figure I would need the art by the end of February. PM me if interested including asking price. Thanks! The details:
- 13"x19", but please allow for bleed.
- 300dpi resolution a must.
- Full color preferred.
- The entire board is the score track. It can meander in any way that works best, but should be a single "road". I'd rather avoid a square zig-zagged score track. (Carcassone's score track is a great example of shape. Quarriors is not.)
- The board will need 262 spaces, plus a "0" space for the starting line. Only every 10th space needs to be numbered as mile markers (i.e. the 10th space will be 1 Mile, 20th will be 2 Miles, etc). Each space therefore represents 1/10th of a mile. Include something special at the 131st space (Mile 13.1) since some games will be played at a half-marathon distance.
- Design is as you best see fit. Historical or modern both ok with me. I'm very flexible on style as well.
- I'm using this for my personal copy only. You will retain full ownership of the image. I will not sell any duplicates of the image. At most, I may print an extra or two for friends. If, for some reason, it goes over well and people express an interest in a published version, I'll get back in touch with you about further compensation (if you're interested of course!).
