Project Details
This game has already been printed, here is the BGG link for a full description.
In Her Majesty's Name: The Rise of Akhenaton

Following comment some artwork is being updated.

Requirement
7 pieces of art are required for the player mats, the printable space available is approx 2.5" high, 1.5" wide.
Full figure portraits are required without a background as the image will be transposed onto an existing player card.
Given the scale these do not need to be intensely detailed illustrations but should have enough to capture both a steampunk vibe & the individual nationalities.

Style
An example of a player mat showing the background and location of the illustration will be provided, also the seven existing portraits to be replaced.
Each piece of art represents the leader of the steampunk-era adventurers (each of a different nationality) controlled by the players plus the overall villain (the resurrected pharoh Akhenaton).
The descriptive text for each leader / company will be provided to give context.
As the game is set in the non-PC era of 1895, if you can hint at the 19th Century British Empire prejudices of the time in the portraits that would be perfect - roughly British brave, French smug, Italian duplicitous, German cruel, Turks villainous and Russians dashing.

If you need further inspiration you can also Google "In Her Majesty's Name" for the host of painted miniatures used in the skirmish wargame parent of this boardgame.

Payment
This is an amateur project so budgets are tight.
The artist commissioned to do this work has had to withdraw, they were billing £20 per portrait based on the conditions below. I'm flexible but don't have oodles of kickstarter cash to throw around - let me know what you think is fair.

Conditions
Artist retains copyright of artwork, I only require a digital copy (minimum 300dpi).
I’m paying for the right to use the art in a specific game and it’s advertising.
The artist can reuse or onward sell the art as they see fit
The BGG entry and rules booklet will be updated to credit the artist for their work and can include, if desired, their contact details.
Full payment made on completion of all 7 portraits (I need a set of 7 all in the same style for this to work so piecemeal payment is a risk for me).

Timescales
The game has been in gestation for 4+ years so far - so no rush but less than 6 months please.

Off Topic
People would also like to use player pieces other than dobbers but I'm at a loss as to what would work - miniature figures would seem to be both prohibitively expensive and easily mixed up unless you colour code them in which case they're just fancy dobbers. Any ideas from fellow game designers more than welcome!
