I know that sounds a little odd as an opener but let me explain. I'm working on a game based on folktales from around the world, the version that will be going on Kickstarter at the end of the year will be themed around European, Japanese, Arabian and African tales. What I'm looking to do is to have different artists for each region that will both identify those cards (they will have colour coding but I'd like if they could be identified as soon as people look at the cards) as well as having a distinct feel of those regions. I've tracked down artists who can work in traditionally European, Japanese and Arabic styles but I'm struggling to find an artist who can both work digitally to a reasonable cost in a distinctly African style. There will be two character pieces roughly 4" by 6" and six smaller card illustrations roughly 2" by 3" based on the characters Anansi and Ti Bouki. If you think you'd be able to help out I'd like to see some other work that would be in the ballpark that you think would be a good example.
Thanks.
