Thread: Board Game Art and Graphic Design:: Looking for an imageMagick (or other image scripting app) guru

Hi,

I have a series of monochrome black and white images, with transparency and anti-aliasing, no grey-scale.

I need to be able to change the colour of these images from black to any other colour, and to avoid having to do this manually (there are lots of them), I'm looking for a way to do this automatically using a tool and a script.

Something along the lines of
imageMagick -f script-name #FF0000 *.png
that would change all png files from black to red.

I remember having found a way to do this manually in paint.net many years ago, using the HSL colour management popup (though I don't recall exactly how), but given the large number of files and colours, doing it manually would be too long.

From what I've read, it seems that imageMagick can do this, but I don't know the tool and I admit that I haven't tried to find out how to do this myself, in the hope that somebody has already done this before.

Finally, for all imageMagick gurus, if you're an expert on MVG files, I may have questions on that too.

Thanks for any help.
