I just completed work on the Alpha version of the project. The game is undergoing playtesting. This seems to be the right time to find someone to do the artwork for the project. Right?
Yes, the game is based on wrestling. Niche, I know. It is a "realism" based game, meaning there are not monsters and aliens and those sorts of silly shenanigans. The only silly shenanigans are the kind you see on a wrestling TV show. So... uh... I guess that means maybe it IS less real than the monsters, superheroes, aliens, etc.?
While the game treats wrestling as "real", I would like the characters to be cartoonish in design. Not quite a parody of wrestlers, but a cartoon-styled take with some exaggerations to the characters.
I have no budget or anything set yet. Still in the process of figuring out the financial elements. Part of my reason for posting is to get an idea of what artists expect and how the relationship for getting things "right" will work for my vision. It would be a major bonus if there is anyone with an interest in wrestling out there willing to work with me on it.
