I am making a game about using strongholds to attack and defend. Right now I am strictly in prototype phase and the main "keep" cards have quite a bit of info on them. I am trying to balance theme, function, and layout to ensure a player is able to comprehend what they are looking at but the layout feels just a tad off. Some things that I want to remain constant:
1). Convey that the unit cost is what launches the attack so unit cost and attack/skill level are "linked" in their representation.
2). The connected keep/towers theme
A breakdown of the main "keep" card:
A keep with two connected tower cards:
The defense, attack, and skill level symbols on all cards were at the same position so a player could quickly glace at their stronghold and instantly know what their combined defense, attack, and skill level was.
What do you think so far? How would you improve it?
